Michael E. Caspersen is Managing Director at It-vest - networking universities and Honorary Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University. In 2022-2023, Michael served as special adviser to Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager, on digital education and skills.
Michael is a Fellow of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences and Distinguished Member of ACM (the global Association of Computing Machinery). He is the recipient of the 2022 ACM Karl V. Karlstrom Outstanding Educator Award and the 2024 ACM SIGCSE Award for Outstanding Contribution to Computer Science Education.
